Amira was rescued from the October 2010 Enumclaw auction. We know very little about her, but believe she is approximately 10 years old. She has a beautiful chestnut colored coat and an amazing blonde mane and tail. She is about 14.3hh. Amira is spectacular under saddle — never bats an eye over anything asked of her. She is our most solid horse under saddle, but can become nervous in new situations when handled on the ground, so she appreciates a calm and quiet handler when introducing new things.

2011-11-02 10:20:00Sorry for the lack of posting in the month of October! As you can imagine, it was a crazy month full of changes. Mandi is completely healed and completed boot camp with me and went to live at President Teri's house for awhile. We didn't feel as thought she was ready to be thrown back into the herd at HQ just yet, and instead, wanted to give her a much deserved break at a quiet barn. She's got visitors during the week, and the rescue volunteers are actively continuing her training. Yay for Man...
