Where have we been for the last two years?
Cowgirl Spirit organized in 2005 - a rescue with a unique dream to retrain slaughter-bound horses for drill competition. It quickly soared to prominence, garnering many awards and a great deal of positive media attention! Ten horses were adopted out to excellent new homes in that first year. Now, the organization has been restructured into two new groups to accomplish double the rescues!
CSRDT started its competitive season with a bang, winning first place at the Eastside Round-Up on May 18, 2008! Check out the
Calendar of Events and come out to watch our horses shine!
 Cowgirl Spirit's Mission is:
To raise awareness
of equine slaughter in America, by education and by rescuing “worthless”
slaughter-bound horses and, with affection, training and dedication, develop
their skill and spirit through equestrian drill competition; then fulfill
their promise by placing these horses in new adoptive homes to give them
long, happy and productive lives as riding companions.
COWGIRLS WANTED!!
Do you
have a desire to put your strong riding skills to use saving horses’
lives?
Do you want to become a part of a highly
